Based on current events and how events in the last days are prophesied to take place, this is the best estimate of the sequence of events.
The Three Theatres of World War III
1. European Theatre - this will be the war for Europe, most likely between the Russian Federation and its allies and NATO and its allies. It seems likely the US will also be drawn into this theatre through the NATO treaty. The borders within Europe will be redrawn and from this new Europe, the country from the far north mentioned in Ezekiel's War of Gog & Magog is born.
2. Pacific Theatre - this will the war for East Asia and control of the Pacific. More than likely starting with China attacking Taiwan, China will align itself with North Korea and the Russian Federation to open up fronts fighting in both Europe and East Asia. The US will be likely drawn into the conflict to protect its alliances with Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Phillipines and Australia. How far south the Chinese army extends will depend on how well the Russian Federation advances in Europe.
3. Middle East Theatre - With the US and her allies fighting in two conflicts and on multiple fronts, its Middle East ally, Israel, is left vulnerable. The countries directly surrounding Israel will attack her in an attempt to wipe her off the map. This is the conflict possibly prophesied by Asaph in Psalm 83. The US may not be able to join this conflict due to its involvment in the other theatres. On the other hand it may abandon the other conflicts in an attempt to protect its oil supply interests. Israel will win this conflict with its neighbours resulting in an expansion of its borders. The conflict will severely deplete their military resources and once again leave them vulnerable. These newly drawn borders set the scene for the conflict known as the War of Gog & Magog between Israel and its new neigbours where Israel isn't in a position to defend herself, but comes under the protection of God.
